Crop insurance has become a very important risk management tool for agricultural producers. Recent times have seen the development of a variety of new and improved crop insurance products. This page contains information on some of the crop insurance products that are available to New York state farmers and links to other sources of information on crop insurance products. A spreadsheet based tool is also provided to help farmers evaluate crop insurance alternatives. The information on this page was developed with a grant from the Risk Management Agency of USDA and the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
